It is 2018 and I’m starting a blog. Twitter is great, but there are some benefits to a longer format. Writing has always helped me clarify my thoughts. Ideas have a tendency to feel brilliant in your head until you attempt to flesh it out. Contradictions and oversights are immediately apparent. Writing is a skill that I’ve neglected for far too long. As a kid, I loved reading and writing. I would’ve been a writer but then I’d be unemployed, so instead I’m a coder. I love coding, but imposter syndrome is a real phenomenon. I still feel like a writer posing as a software engineer. For years I was a lurker on twitter. I loved the great content but always felt that I had nothing new to say. It was this article by thisdaddoes that helped me get started. Now I tweet solely to express myself. What I have to say is unique to my circumstance. There might be nothing new under the sun, but people learn from issues that relate to them
